The Mighty #4

Before I get started working this morning, I should probably point out that THE MIGHTY #4, America's favorite little comic that could, arrived in stores yesterday. Don't have my copies yet either, let's have a race to the comic shop!

Some people are going to say that they saw the end of #4 coming a mile away, I'm sure. But just because you may have seen something happen doesn't mean you know why it happened. The direction of the book shifts pretty radically over the next four issues, then again over the course of the final four. So hang on tight and by all means, let us know what you think!

Thanks!

Forgive my ignorance, but does that indicate that this is planned as a twelve-issue series?

"The Mighty" has really snuck up on me. It's a horror comic, I guess. I find myself savoring the general aura of creepiness and awkwardness that hangs around all the characters, not just Alpha One. Good for you and I guess DC for letting the mood of this series develop slowly and really be effective.

Thanks, Philosophy Teacher. Glad you're enjoying the book. I think of it more as a mystery w/ superheroes but really, it's a blend of genres, horror included.

Tomasi and I always planned on taking a 'season' approach to The Mighty: a complete twelve issue story, then a break, then a second season. So yeah, this is planned as a twelve-issue series.

Thanks for reading and by all means, please keep letting us know what you think.

I of course am reading, too, Keith! You were actually convincing me Alpha One didn't mean anything wrong until that ending, so I am curious exactly what to expect now.

Hey dude, really enjoyed issue #4.

Like you say, Alpha One has seemed off for a while but it is the why and how far he will go that's going to keep me picking this book.

I'm getting a weird Hand That Rocks the Cradle/Fatal Attraction style stalker vibe from Alpha!

Keep up the good work dude.
